LETTER TO PARENTS
Dear Parent,
Greetings from Viswabharathi Wisewoods.
Happy to share with you that the school took good care of your child’s growth and education during the last ten months. Now he/she is with you for the vacation. This is an opportunity for you to teach the values that need to be learnt at home. Gaining subject knowledge at school alone, is not the end of a child’s education.
You will agree that most children today are highly pampered and protected beyond the requirement. They are far away from real life. Exposing them to the realities of current life will go a long way in giving them the expertise to face future with confidence.
Train your child to be self-dependant in doing all household work such as housekeeping, cooking, washing dishes, washing clothes etc. Let him/her take pride in doing all domestic chores and understand the dignity of labour.
Take your child to your work place and show how hard you work to support his/her education and to keep the family happy & comfortable. Let him/her work with the workforce and experience the hardships they face even for earning a meagre income. Your child will imbibe humaneness.
Let your child visit grandparents and see directly how they struggle to organize life at their old age. It will have an emotional impact. Allow your child to make friendship with neighbours and understand the society.
Give your child the freedom to make small purchases in the grocery shop or in the super market, in order to understand the household requirements, their value in terms of cost, nutrition, utility etc. as printed on every product. He/she will understand the value of money and a little bit about taxes and commerce. Each of these experiences will be worth going through.
But, at times, when required, please do not hesitate to say no also, especially, to those wishes of your child, which are not right and not acceptable. Be firm and avoid giving motor bike, car, tractor etc. for self-driving. Remember, he/she is a minor and not matured enough to handle vehicles with safety discretions.
Lastly, please be informed that your child is given some academic assignments which need to be completed and brought back to school. You may give the necessary support and guidance to complete them.

Dear Student,
Hope, you have started enjoying the holidays.
Enjoy with all safety precautions. Summer is too hot and blazing.
Make this summer, an occasion for learning new skills and gaining experiences about life in reality. Learn a little bit of housekeeping, cooking, social interactions, some hobby activities etc. Make it a habit to buy new books of interest and read them for pleasure, instead of engaging with mobile phone all along.
Alongside, you are advised to spare a small part of your vacation, to stay connected with the topics you have learnt this year. To this end, a few activities and assignments are given as holiday homework. Doing those activities will reinforce your understanding of the already learnt concepts and support you in understanding new ones next year. You can do them at home on your own.
Please complete the activities subject wise, in A4 size papers and submit to the teachers concerned when you report back to school.
These assignments will be evaluated for awarding internal marks.
